Here comes Round 2

Round 2 pairings will be posted around 1900 server time, Tuesday, January 19.

For newer players to teamleague play, check out watchbot at http://mekk.waw.pl/mk/watchbot/search where you can replay your league games and read comments added by observers (often instructive and sometimes humorous.)

You can make your own comments during games of your team mates or anyone else with whisper command.

Remember to set private, kibitz and noescape = 0 during games, and start your games with "tell teamleague play" command.

For those curious about the playoff format:

OPEN: after SRR regular play, top four teams advance; seed 1 vs. seed 4, seed 2 vs seed 3; winners advance to championship. If tied in finals, then co-champions.

U2000: after SRR regular play, top team from each section advance; for championship. If tied in finals, then co-champions.

U1800: after SRR regular play, top team from two six-team sections advance; winner plays top team from seven-team section for championship. If tied in finals, then co-champions.

(I anticipate concerns about this format; Know that with 19 teams, inequities are unavoidable, and this schedule allows each team that meets in finals will have played the same number of games.)

U1600: after SRR regular play, top two teams advance from each section; 1A vs 2B; 2A vs. 1B; winners advance to championship. If tied in finals, then co-champions.

U1400: pending reconfiguration since one team has dropped out.
