First, thanks for getting the games database and e-mail notification working for the last TL. As both a player and a captain, the latter is super useful!

I have an idea for something else that might be helpful to a number of stakeholders in the league. One of the recurring weekly activities I find myself doing is, after a game is scheduled via the game forum, adding it to my calendar, so that I remember to show up when it is time to play. Talking to others, it seems this is a common practice. After visiting a local doctor, I think I may have found a simple way to enable this activity through the TL Web site.

By providing an "Add to Calendar" button in the forum once the game time is set, a person could just just click and have the event automatically added to the calendar of their choosing. This is provided by: https://addtocalendar.com/

It supports calendars from Google, Yahoo, Outlook, and Apple, and seems relatively straightforward to utilize.

So, I am wondering if this might be something that would ease the time and potentially error-prone process of a lot of players doing this every week for themselves. Just something to consider for the future.

I have one other suggestion, that I think might be useful. How about, on the pairings page, once the time for a game is set, making it (the date/time) into a link to the "Add to Calendar" functionality?

For example, in the following game:

"White United States yoyoman 03-05 19:00 United States mindlin Black"

Make "03-05 19:00" clickable.

That way, players could easily add any game that they are interested in to their calendar.

Just something for future consideration!
