Not really a proposal for the organizers, more for the players:

We often post on our own boards about big upcoming matches or games, what they mean for our team, playoff/seeding implications, and other matches in the division that will affect our odds. These types of posts may heighten anticipation for certain upcoming matches by our players or even players from other teams. I am sure other teams do the same, whether the posts are on private boards, channels, or elsewhere. It'd be fun if all of us posted some of these types of things on the TL forums themselves. Neutral observers might find more games they would be interested in observing, and the commentators can spice up their "reporting" of these upcoming games to make it even more entertaining.

Ideally, some of the very active TL players/observers would participate and include reports on upcoming games/matches, or talk about past matches and what they mean for the league. These can be humorous, can highlight players, discuss great games or combinations, etc. These boards could become more of a kind of "newspaper" if even a few people contributed. (Things like game of the week might fit as well).

Great idea! may I suggest a Wiki for that purpose?

You may. ;)

I love wikis, and I don't mind setting one up, but I'm not sure one is appropriate in this case. Wikis are great for collaborative editing, but for a newsletter of the type JoshuaR suggests, maybe a forum or blog would be a better fit.

This board was written by for us by fernbap, but if you are missing certain features, I could look at setting up some third-party forum software. I would also be willing to set up a blog section of the TL site. I wonder whether enough material would be submitted to sustain such an effort, though.

Probably not, but I could cross-post MFO posts at the very least, which might encourage others as well (assuming MFO exists since our home site may be departing us).

I've set up a wiki at http://teamleague.org/wiki/. There is nothing there yet, but in case anyone is itching to add the type of content JoshuaR suggested above: make an account there and go for it.

What about simpler thing: aggregating team-provided content on some teamleague.org page? As long as teams provide RSS feed (if they publish on any kind of blog platform, they do), those feeds could easily be merged into one (for example using Yahoo Pipes) and published as "Team News" or sth like that.

With a wiki now, any plans on having a translated version for the pages?

I could help with Spanish if needed...

this is indeed a great idea i hope it will happen soon

Looking at the teams' websites, not many have regularly updated pages, much less RSS feeds.

Regarding translations, if someone wants to do the work of translating the TL pages, I will find a way to include it on the website.
