FICS Message Problems

FICS is experiencing certain problems with sending and receiving messages. Some users appear to be unable to receive messages, possibly including TL game forum notifications.

Update: Per FICS news 1651, the message problems have been resolved.

Update to the update: Per FICS news 1652, there has been another server crash and once again some features are unavailable.

This seems a good time to remind TL players that they can receive game forum notifications directly to email by using the command "tell teamleague set email" followed by your email address (eg "tell teamleague set email address@host". Alternatively of course, players can just check their game forums regularly.

Also, just a general reminder that the upcoming round 6 is the final round for Fischer and Spassky sections. Other sections wil not play round 6, but the top two teams in each section will advance to a playoff that will be held in round 7. The first place finisher will have white on boards 1 and 3, and more importantly has draw odds, meaning they will win the title in case of a 2-2 match score.
