Approaching the Playoffs

Just a reminder to all players that the playoffs will begin as soon as the final round ends. There will be one playoff round (nominally round 8), played between the first and second-placed finishers in each section. the first-placed team will have draw odds in case of a 2-2 tie, and will have white on boards 1 and 3.

Please note that extensions will not be possible for the final rounds; round 7 games must be completed by 19:00 on Tuesday, December 13th, and round 8 (the playoffs) must end at 19:00 December 20th, as it is considered preferable that this tournament be concluded before the Christmas weekend. Players and captains should bear this in mind when it comes to scheduling.
