FICS commands you can use :

• " set noescape 0 ”, set kib 0 ", “ set private 0 ”,
• " +ch 101 " to add the League channel, where you'll see League announcements
• " date " to see current server time.

Noescape is to be OFF in all league games. Should anyone play with noescape on, and disconnect, the game is a loss for the BOTH players, as noescape only works with both players having it on.

Private is to be OFF in all league games. Should anyone play with private on, teamleague TDs and spectators will not be able to see your game. Games played in private mode will not be valid league games.

Avoid accidentally seeing a tell or kib . Occasionally someone accidentally kibitzes a move or a helpful comment during a game. Players can avoid seeing the kibs by "set kib 0" (prevents seeing kibitzes), and  "set silence 1" (prevents seeing channel tells, shouts and cshouts).
